PITA BREAD



Pita bread is originally from Greece and the Middle East. It is quickly and easily prepared. You can serve it to humus or dips, or fill it with vegetables, cheese, ham, bacon or any other ingredients.

 

INGREDIENTS, THERMOMIX TM31:

 

  • 125 ml water
  • 15 g olive oil
  • a little bit of sugar
  • 10 g fresh yeast
  • 225 g flour (sifted)
  • a little bit of salt

 

PREPARATION:

 

1. Put water, oil and sugar into the mixing bowl, cook for 1 minute / 37 C° /speed 2
2. Add the crumbled yeast, mix for 10 seconds /speed 4
3. Add flour and salt, beatfor 30 seconds /speed 6
4. Close the mixing bowl and knead for 4 minutes
5. Leave the dough for 30 minutes in the mixin bowl
6. Preheat oven on 240 C°
7. On a floured work surface form balls, then press the balls flat
8. Put on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 5 minutes
